Teriyaki Protein Bowls

Description:
A healthy and satisfying bowl made with glazed chicken breast chunks, whole grains, and fresh vegetables for a balanced meal.

INGREDIENTS

  • Best Tasting Snacks – Chicken Breast Chunks 250g
  • Brown rice or quinoa (cooked) 450g (3 cups)
  • Carrots (fine-julienned) 90g
  • Red cabbage (shredded) 75g
  • Green cabbage (shredded) 75g
  • Soy sauce 45g
  • Natural honey 45g
  • Cooking oil 30g (2 tbsp.)
  • Sesame seeds (toasted, optional garnish) 2g
  • Spring onions (chopped, optional garnish) 3g

Procedure

  1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and honey until well combined. Set aside. Prepare the cooked brown rice or quinoa.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the MET Food Chicken Breast Chunks for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce into the pan and toss the chicken until evenly coated. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Arrange the cooked rice or quinoa in a serving bowl. Add the carrots, red cabbage, and green cabbage on the side.
  5. Top with the glazed chicken, drizzle with the remaining sauce, and garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions before serving.
