Shredded Chicken Shawarma Pockets

Ingredients
- Best Tasting Snacks – Shredded Chicken Breast Meat 250g
- Taco mix powder 20g
- Table salt 1 tsp
- Dried chili flakes 2g (1 tsp)
- Olive Oil 14g (1 tbsp)
- Plain yogurt 120g
- Garlic (minced) 10g (2 cloves)
- Ground Cumin 1g
- Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) 30g (2 tbsp)
- Ground white pepper 1g (½ tsp)
- Pita breads 4 pcs
- Fresh tomatoes (sliced or diced) 100g
- White onions (sliced) 50g
- Cucumber (sliced into half-moons) 100g
Procedure
- Make the sauce by mixing the yogurt, garlic, cumin, lemon juice, and white pepper in a small bowl. Chill until ready to use.
- Season the MET Food Shredded Chicken with taco seasoning, salt, and chili flakes.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes until hot and lightly browned.
- Warm the pita bread for about 30 seconds, then slice open to form pockets.
- Fill each pita with the cooked chicken, tomatoes, onions, and cucumber. Drizzle with the garlic yogurt sauce and serve immediately.
